Automated Advisory — Privacy Policy
Last Updated: September 2, 2025
Automated Advisory LLC, doing business as “Automated Advisory” (together with its subsidiaries and affiliates, “Automated Advisory,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), is committed to safeguarding personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices available to you when you visit automatedadvisory.com and any subdomains, affiliated sites, or mobile applications we control (collectively, the “Website”). By using the Website, you agree to the practices described here. If you have questions, please contact us using the details in Contact Us below. We may update this Policy from time to time; when we do, we will post the changes here and revise the “Last Updated” date, and, where required by law, we will provide additional notice (for example, via email or in-product notifications). Please review this Policy periodically.
What We Collect
We gather information from three main sources: (1) you; (2) your use of the Website; and (3) trusted third parties. Information you provide may include, for example, (1) account and contact details such as name, email, phone, business name, role/title, and mailing address; (2) support interactions and form submissions such as customer-support messages, survey responses, demo requests, and other submissions; (3) billing information processed by our payment processor, for which we may retain limited tokens or identifiers; (4) applications and recruiting materials such as résumé/CV, cover letter, references, and related items if you apply for a role; and (5) business information you choose to share, including industry, goals, and performance metrics. Information collected automatically when you access or use the Website may include (1) device and technical data (e.g., IP address, operating system, browser type/version, language settings, referring URLs, and approximate location derived from technical signals); (2) usage data (pages viewed, clicks, features used, timestamps, session length, and similar activity); and (3) analytics or inferences (aggregated or de-identified trends about how the Website is used); if you visit from a mobile device, we may also note the device model or platform. Information from third parties may come from (1) service providers (hosting, analytics, CRM, customer support, payment processing); (2) advertising and marketing partners (ad networks, social platforms, attribution tools); and (3) data partners (where permitted by law). We may combine information collected across these sources to operate and improve the Website.
Your Choices
Using our website is voluntary. If you prefer not to share certain information, you can decline to provide it or disable related features; however, some parts of the Website may not function properly without particular data (for example, billing details for purchases).
How We Use Information
We process personal information only where permitted by law and rely on appropriate legal bases, such as (1) your consent; (2) performance of a contract; (3) our legitimate interests (not outweighed by your rights and freedoms); and (4) compliance with legal obligations. We do not engage in decisions solely based on automated processing (including profiling) that produce legal or similarly significant effects. Primary uses include (1) providing and improving the Website and services by operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing features and performance, including using information to develop, evaluate, and refine our AI-enabled capabilities that help deliver functionality to you and other customers; (2) processing transactions and supporting accounts by completing purchases, sending confirmations and administrative messages, and assisting with customer service; (3) personalization and marketing (subject to your preferences) by tailoring content and communications and sending updates, offers, product news, and similar materials we believe may be relevant; (4) analytics and research to understand usage patterns, measure engagement, and produce aggregated or de-identified statistics for internal purposes or to share with partners in a non-identifying form; (5) security and abuse prevention by detecting, investigating, and preventing fraud, security incidents, and misuse and protecting the integrity of our systems; and (6) legal, regulatory, and compliance needs by meeting legal obligations, enforcing our terms and policies, and protecting the rights, property, and safety of Automated Advisory, our users, and others.
How We Share Information
We share personal information with third parties that help us run our operations or as otherwise described here. Depending on your interactions with us within the last 12 months, recipients may include (1) vendors and service providers supporting hosting, cloud infrastructure, customer support, communications, CRM, AI tooling, and related services; (2) payment processors; (3) analytics providers; (4) advertising and marketing partners, including social platforms and ad networks; (5) our affiliates and subsidiaries; (6) social networks when you interact with our pages or tools on those platforms; (7) parties to corporate transactions such as mergers, acquisitions, financings, reorganizations, or sales of assets; and (8) law enforcement, regulators, and others as required or permitted by law. Typical reasons we share include (1) operating and enhancing our offerings, including hosting, securing, maintaining, and improving the Website and services (some partners provide or support AI features); (2) processing payments and providing support, whereby third parties process transactions and assist with account and helpdesk requests; (3) advertising and reach, whereby we work with partners that enable audience insights, measurement, social engagement, and interest-based ads across sites and apps; (4) insights and measurement through cookies, pixels, SDKs, and similar technologies that help analyze performance and usage over time; (5) security and fraud through collaboration with providers that detect, investigate, and mitigate abuse and threats; (6) compliance and protection by disclosing information to comply with applicable laws and lawful requests, enforce our terms, or protect rights and safety; and (7) business transfers, whereby if ownership or control of all or part of our business changes, your information may be transferred to the new steward and we will request that the successor respect the commitments in this Policy where feasible and lawful.
Advertising, Analytics & “Sale/Sharing” Disclosures (U.S. State Laws)
Some of our advertising and analytics activities may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (or targeted advertising) under certain U.S. state privacy laws. In the last 12 months, we may have disclosed to advertising and analytics partners (1) identifiers and contact details (for example, cookie or device IDs, IP address, account identifiers, name, role/title, business name, email, and browser/OS information), as well as information you submit on the Website, and (2) usage or activity data (for example, pages viewed, features used, interactions, timestamps, referring URLs, and approximate location inferred from technical signals). Where required, you can opt out of activities defined as “sale”/“sharing” or targeted advertising; see Your Privacy Rights & How to Exercise below for how to exercise these options.
Cookies & Similar Technologies
We and our partners use cookies, pixels, SDKs, and comparable technologies to operate the Website, remember preferences, measure performance, and support advertising; you can manage cookies through your browser settings and, where available, our on-site controls, understanding that disabling certain cookies may affect site functionality.
Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to (1) achieve the purposes described in this Policy, (2) satisfy legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory requirements, (3) maintain appropriate business records, security, fraud-prevention, and audit trails, and (4) resolve disputes and enforce agreements; in setting specific retention intervals we consider the nature of our relationship with the individual, the type and sensitivity of the information, the risks of unauthorized use or disclosure, and our operational needs, and when information is no longer needed we will delete it or de-identify it in a commercially reasonable manner, maintaining de-identified data only where we commit not to attempt re-identification and to maintain it in a de-identified state.
Security
We employ administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information; however, no security program is perfect, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
International Users & Cross-Border Transfers
If you access the Website from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored in, or processed in the United States or other countries where we or our service providers operate, which may have different data-protection laws; where required, we implement appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers—for example, the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (and, where relevant, the UK Addendum and Swiss addendum) for transfers from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, and comparable mechanisms for onward transfers; for clarity, the English version of this Privacy Policy governs, even if a translation is provided for convenience.
Links to Other Sites & Third-Party Practices
Our Website may link to third-party websites, apps, or services; we do not control those properties, and their privacy and security practices are not covered by this Policy, so before providing information to any third party, please review the relevant privacy notices and terms.
Children’s Privacy
The Website is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 13 (or a higher age where applicable); if you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can take appropriate steps.
Do Not Track & Global Privacy Control
Your browser may transmit a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal, but because there is no common industry standard for interpreting DNT we do not currently respond to it; however, where required by law we honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals and will treat a valid GPC as a request to opt out of (1) “sale” or “sharing” of personal information and (2) targeted advertising for the specific browser or device that sends the signal, noting that the opt-out applies only to that environment unless you separately adjust your preferences across other browsers or devices.
Your Privacy Rights & How to Exercise
Depending on your location, you may be able to request (1) access to your information, (2) correction of inaccurate data, (3) deletion, (4) portability of certain information, (5) an opt-out of “sale”/“sharing”/targeted advertising, and (6) limits on the use and disclosure of certain sensitive information, as well as (7) an appeal if we decline to act on your request. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@automatedadvisory.com or submit a request through our online form (if available) and include sufficient detail to allow us to understand and respond, after which we may take steps to verify your identity (for example, by matching information you provide to data already on file) and, where applicable, verify any authorized agent acting on your behalf (for example, through a signed authorization and our ability to confirm your identity directly). We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law (generally within 45 days, with a possible 45-day extension where reasonably necessary and communicated to you), without discrimination for exercising your rights, and with information on how to appeal our decision (and how to escalate to your state attorney general where that process exists).
SMS/Text Messaging Terms (Promotional Programs)
By opting in to receive marketing communications, you authorize Automated Advisory and our service providers to contact you via email, SMS/text message, telephone, and other channels, which may include the use of automated or predictive dialers, prerecorded or automated messages, and similar technologies; your consent is not a condition of purchase; message frequency may vary; and message and data rates may apply. To opt out of SMS, reply STOP, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, or QUIT to any message; to opt out of email, use the unsubscribe link in our emails; for help, reply HELP to any text or contact support@automatedadvisory.com. You are responsible for any charges billed by your mobile carrier, and carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages; if you change or deactivate your mobile number, please update your preferences so we do not continue sending messages to the wrong number. To deliver our messaging programs, we may share limited information—including (1) your phone number, (2) your messaging preferences, and (3) your SMS opt-in/consent status—with vendors that help route, deliver, or analyze messages (for example, messaging platforms, phone companies, aggregator partners, and related providers), and we do not permit these vendors to use your messaging data for their own unrelated marketing.
